World Siam Stadium

Muay Thai Gyms Thailand caught up with Christopher the Community Manager for World Siam Stadium. We were lucky enough to dig up a little more information on this very interesting new stadium that was due to open earlier this year. Because of Covid they have had to alter their plans but are still very optimistic about opening up this year. This was our first interview for the website and was done entirely through email. If you have any suggestions or tips make sure to leave. some feedback. Thanks!

MTGT– What was the goal behind developing a new stadium?   In your opinion, what makes a stadium world class? What do you hope to accomplish?

World Siam– Our goals is to do stuff never seen before and make a new type of martial art stadiums. We want to make New Legends in the fight industry. To make a Stadium world class there are a lot of things but most importantly is a great team.

MTGT – What makes you different from the other stadiums in Bangkok? Why was this a goal of yours?

WSWorld Siam Stadium is different in many other aspects cause at the end of the day we are a martial art stadium as we are gonna be doing more than one discipline.

MTGT- On your social media, I saw it mentioned that this stadium is old school with a touch of new school.   How do you define old school? New school?  How do you hope to combine the two? Why is this important to you?

WS – We define as old school cause we keeps the values of the martial arts nowadays if you want to stand out you have to be out of the box that’s why we consider ourselves old school with a touch of new school our team is young and we have all been in the martial art industry for years in other words we are making our dreams come true.

MTGT – As I’m sure you know, your followers are very interested in the circular ring design. Can you elaborate more? What are your hopes of achievement, and thoughts about the sport in the future?  Is the circular ring something laying true to the nature of the sport or something that could perhaps advance it?

WS– Our ring is not only a circular ring it can be modified two different types of ring Muay Thai / Boxing / MMA will definitely be a point people will talk about plus we wanted to take the ancient values of gladiators in an arena.

MTGT- So, Siam Stadium will be hosting MMA fights? Or will you be putting together MMA Events as well?

WS- We will be doing an MMA Tournament with Wanderlei Silva and we will be hosting other MMA events as well .

MTGT -How has the pandemic affected your opening and business? What are the steps you’ll need to take in order to finally open it?  Do you think there will be an audience for the first show, considered?

WS– The covid19 pandemic is a worldwide crisis affecting all the different types of event venues we are waiting on the government to let us know of all the prevention measures we will need to open like all other Event venues.

MTGT– Finally, what is one thing you want the world to know about this stadium?

WS – Our main goal is to promote the next legends in the martial art industry and keep the values of the sport.

Since we last talked to the representative of World Siam Stadium they have Announced they will be hosting Buakaw Banchamek vs Andre Dida Rematch this year.
